    Are you passionate about digital media and storytelling? Do you want to play a key role in cultivating a global community of storytellers? Does the prospect of promoting an impactful, successful digital storytelling product to new audiences excite you?

    Esri Story Maps enable tens of thousands of individuals and organizations to easily create compelling, map-driven multimedia narratives. As a web producer, you will work with a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, and marketing professionals to produce a new website showcasing our community’s best story maps, to nurture our growing community of storytellers, to help expand the reach of Esri’s multimedia storytelling tools to vast new audiences, and to help define the voice of story maps for years to come.


    • Oversee design, development, and maintenance of a story maps marketing website aimed at promoting the product to new markets (journalists, bloggers, photographers, scholars, etc.)
    • Oversee design and curation of an “Explore” webpage, including a gallery of the best and most inspiring story maps
    • Help present and market a powerful, affordable web-based product that enables hundreds of thousands of people to tell the stories of their lives, their families, and their organizations
    • Assist in recruiting, growing, and nurturing a community of storytellers across industries, professions, and areas of interest
    • Oversee the story maps social media strategy, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other channels


    • 5+ years of experience in web design and digital content production
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Proven success with digital marketing principles, including audience targeting, distribution, lead generation, email marketing, and social media strategy
    • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics
    • Ability to work with a diverse and geographically distributed team of designers, developers, marketers, and content producers
    • Willingness to learn on the job
    • Strong work ethic

    Recommended Qualifications:

    • Understanding of basic principles of UX/UI research and design
    • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (or other enterprise CMS)
    • Experience conceptualizing and executing social media campaigns
    • Experience working in a deadline-driven editorial environment (such as a newsroom)
