    As a product engineer for Online Content, you will be part of the creation and dissemination of content throughout Esri’s distribution channels. You will be involved in all facets of data ingestion and refinement, map production, and deployment of generated products on a highly scalable and resilient cloud-based architecture.


    • Manage multi-server environment and processes to generate and disseminate raster basemaps
    • Work alongside the data production team to manage enterprise databases and workflows specific to data integration and quality
    • Coordinate with cartographers to construct highly optimized map documents with complex labeling and symbology requirements
    • Work with the dev ops team to design and manage the system architecture used to deliver tiled maps to customers
    • Work with teams across Esri to assemble and manage the content and delivery for Data Appliance for ArcGIS


    • 3+ years of relevant experience administering raster basemaps
    • Strong ability to collaborate across divisions within Esri 
    • Experience defining project specifications and executing against them
    • Working knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise technology
    • Experience with one or more of the following:
      • Linux
      • Apache/Tomcat
      • Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, EBS)
      • Python, Arcpy for map production workflows
    • Bachelor’s or master’s in a technical field, e.g. GIS, geography, cartography, computer information systems, computer science, depending on position level
