  • Overview

    Bring your passion for programming to help us develop tools and workflows used in translation for the ArcGIS platform. This is a great opportunity to design and develop next-gen Esri technology.

     

    In this role, you’ll test and build translation components used in TMS and workflows with the support and mentoring of the rest of the development team. Your work will focus on current TMS updates and workflows, with career opportunities that could utilize many different programming languages and technologies.

    Responsibilities:

    • Build modern Python and Java software components that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models
    • Collaborate with other engineers throughout the development process
    • Design, develop, and test applications and APIs for devices
    • Articulate and solve problems with application design, development, and user experiences

    Requirements

    • Good Python development skills or solid experience in object oriented languages with a passion to learn modern Python and Java
    • Enthusiasm for quality software engineering
    • Being smart, adaptable, and enthusiastic are key to this role
    • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
    • Bachelor’s in computer science, internationalization, localization, translation, or related field, depending on position level

    Recommended Qualifications:

    • IDEs, compilers, and development tools for one or more of Linux, Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android
    • GIT source control
    • Jenkins and its language Groovy
    • REST web services
