As a solution architect focusing on security architecture, you can leverage your experience of understanding a business’ technical security needs to help define a framework where the ArcGIS platform can be deployed and scaled.   • Provide Esri's global business development teams, business partners, and customers with world-class architecture support and guidance that promote the vision, value, and successful adoption of the ArcGIS platform
  • Assess customer enterprise security architectures and implementation plans involving the ArcGIS platform that will effectively scale and support regulatory and legal business requirements
  • Maintain knowledge of complex industry trends, current security issues, and security technologies
  • Work closely and actively with customers to identify, design, and implement security practices and recommendations for the ArcGIS platform
  • Develop documentation and artifacts including security plans, security architecture designs, and security-focused operational procedures


  • 5-10 years of related technology experience including security architecture review, design, implementation, and operations experience
  • Experience in technical consulting, solution design, project envisioning, planning, developing, deployment, and project management
  • Domain knowledge (e.g., telecommunications, retail, commercial) and experience working on related technologies with customers in those markets
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in consulting and client management
  • Knowledge of geospatial concepts and software solutions
  • Knowledge of and ability to design secure solutions that meet various compliance frameworks including FISMA/FEDRAMP/NIST, ISO/IEC 27000, PCI, HIPAA, as well as global and regional privacy mandates
  • Strong teamwork skills and proven management background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, software engineering, GIS engineering, or related field

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Experience with Esri software including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Runtime, and/or their associated APIs or interfaces
  • Practical knowledge and experience in Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, etc.)
  • Secure software development experience in Java, .NET, JavaScript, and other programming environments
  • Information security certification (CISSP or equivalent)
