Direct our advertising agency in devising strategies to use paid media to support Esri’s marketing strategy and oversee the advertising development and media selection process. You will work with peers in brand, industry, and product marketing to understand their goals and target audience needs so that media plans can be crafted appropriately. You will oversee the agency in conducting research into media opportunities and making recommendations for an integrated media plan.


Our ideal candidate must possess understanding of today’s media landscape, including both offline (print, broadcast, out-of-home) and online media channels and technologies (online display, pay-per-click, search engine marketing, content syndication, retargeting, etc.). You must understand the fundamentals of advertising in various media and managing the creative development process in partnership with the agency.



  • Develop an annual paid media plan to support marketing campaigns and business goals using the full spectrum of media choices
  • Identify and optimize digital media channels, platforms, and technologies to enhance the effectiveness of targeting and conversion
  • Manage day-to-day paid media operations, including ad production workflow (internally and by agency), ensuring that ads are reviewed, approved internally, and meet specifications of the media outlets, including being delivered by deadlines
  • Continually monitor ad placement for brand safety and visibility
  • Provide forward-looking insights on new technologies and omnichannel advertising best practices
  • Recommend ways that paid media can work in conjunction with earned and owned media for maximum effect
  • Analyze the results of advertising campaigns, their effectiveness, and ROI


  • Understanding and familiarity with technologies supporting the role: media monitoring, digital advertising technology (paid search, programmatic buying, advertising networks and exchanges, demand side, and retargeting platforms), ad testing tools, web site analytics, data analytics platforms, marketing automation platforms
  • 5 years of experience managing advertising/media on agency or company side
  • Hands-on experience managing digital advertising programs
  • Advanced organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Analytics experience strongly desirable
  • Related industry experience and B2B marketing
