Overview

Blend your passion for writing and interest in technology to advance the documentation of ArcGIS Hub. In this position, you'll make our users successful by reviewing and updating technical content in our documentation. You’ll study design documents, interact with core developers and product engineers, and test software. ArcGIS Hub provides a two-way engagement platform to connect governments and citizens, and you can help users maximize its potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and organize ArcGIS Hub documentation information architecture 
  • Produce and update foundational documentation for ArcGIS Hub audiences
  • Maintain and update publication baselines to reflect updated content
  • Update and test existing tutorials and lessons 
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues as they arise during publication processes
  • Manage and streamline documentation build processes and content availability
  • Collaborate with various partners, including subject matter experts and authors from development teams, to edit and create technical documentation 
  • Establish and define customer requirements; translate them into potential product improvements and new software designs

Requirements

  • Experience with design and production of learning materials, such as tutorials, guides, games, or instructional videos
  • Experience with industry-standard technologies, such as HTML, CSS, XML
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Bachelor’s or higher in a field related to technical writing or communications, or related field

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of core GIS concepts 
  • ArcGIS software experience, especially with ArcGIS Online
  • Project management skills
  • Experience with content management system applications, such as SDL Trisoft (LiveContent) and GitHub
