Responsibilities:

  • Elicit requirements from stakeholders and translate them into specifications for business intelligence solutions and workflows 
  • Deliver high quality and timely dashboards, reports, visualizations, data models, and self-service reporting capabilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the division to understand business drivers, gaps, and issues to create relevant data strategies and BI capabilities
  • Develop and monitor ETL jobs and resolve production issues
  • Create and execute queries for data
  • Research and implement standards to ensure data integrity, efficient coding, data validation, product testing, clear documentation, and maintenance practices
  • Troubleshoot production issues; identify root cause and fixes
  • Collaborate with team members to provide end user documentation and training

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience using the Microsoft SQL Server business intelligence stack
  • 2+ years of experience developing, maintaining, and optimizing ETL packages using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services
  • Highly proficient in developing complex reports, triggers, tables, user-defined functions, views, indexes, user profiles, data models, query writing. and SQL joins
  • Strong ability to interpret and understand large normalized databases, operational data stores, data marts, and enterprise data warehouses
  • Good working knowledge of software development life cycle 
  • Possess an outstanding ability to clearly communicate data, context, and implications to business and technology stakeholders
  • Demonstrate clarity, depth, and relevance when problem solving 
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team, as well as independently under own initiative
  • Bachelor’s in information systems, computer science statistics, or related field

  • Experience in the software industry 
  • Project management skills
