Responsibilities:

  • Understand enterprise deployment needs, SLAs, and capacity and security requirements of customers including local and federal government agencies, global organizations, and business partners
  • Design, prototype, and develop automation tools to aid in customers' specific deployment needs
  • Troubleshoot customer issues; work with customers' IT and DevOps to keep key business systems running
  • Represent and reproduce production problems in-house and work with the development team to resolve issues
  • Represent and drive software initiatives that will make enterprise deployments reliable, resilient, and repeatable

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise deployments
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with customers and supporting production issues
  • Understanding of enterprise deployment and automation tooling such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, DSC, Jenkins, and related scripting technologies
  • Experience with resource monitoring tools (Windows Performance Monitor, Nagios, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving, design, development, and debugging skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and in groups to effectively meet customers' business and mission-critical needs
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, engineering, IT, GIS, or related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Thorough understanding of networking, hardware, and security compliance
  • Ability to read and write code (Java, Python, shell scripts)
