Overview

Esri’s Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS monitors operations, reports real-time data feeds, and visualizes information to connect the field to the office. In this role, you will be a team advocate who guides the development and launch process of future releases of Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS and other great mapping and analysis apps. Utilize your knowledge of project management methodologies and facilitation and team building skills to provide a roadmap to successful releases. Join our dynamic team as we deliver compelling geospatial apps across a wide variety of platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with product owners and others to understand the scope, user stories, backlog, timing, dependencies, barriers/risks, and resources
  • Develop and drive project schedules from roadmap to individual milestones
  • Work with the product owner to define the release, communicate to internal stakeholders, and conform to product launch standards
  • Assure the team has a voice in the workload, user stories are actionable and groomed regularly, and stress is mitigated
  • Navigate the team through risks, blockers, and external team dependencies
  • Facilitate team meetings to improve process, define action items, assure effective communications, and sustain team engagement
  • Assist with QA and certification as needed

Requirements

  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Experience with a variety of software project management methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Kanban
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent facilitation, visualization, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to deliver work, in teams or individually
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • You have a passion for process improvements and quality, are detail oriented, and are focused on driving efficiency
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in business management, project management, communications, computer science, or a related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Some experience with ArcGIS or other geospatial technology
  • Prior experience with software development and release of commercial software products
  • Proven ability to define, manage, and deliver geospatial solutions to users
  • Strong conflict and change management and team building skills
  • An understanding of design, development, and QA workflows and considerations
  • Excellent mentoring and skill building abilities
