Join our exceptional team and build apps such as Collector for ArcGIS, Explorer for ArcGIS, or Workforce for ArcGIS to extend the reach of GIS beyond the office and into the field. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your passion for software quality, industry expertise, and problem-solving abilities to help us build compelling mobile and web apps.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product engineers and software developers to build new apps releases
  • Design, develop, and maintain test scenarios to address business and technical use cases
  • Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
  • Continually expand scope of automated test coverage and frameworks
  • Work closely with other internal product and development teams to understand and test the evolving ArcGIS platform
  • Help identify and prioritize critical features and issues which enhance overall product quality

More experienced individuals will assist with implementation designs and product architecture.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with ArcGIS or GIS in general, with an emphasis on web services, maps, and apps
  • 1+ years of experience in Java, Ruby, Python, C#, or similar high-level language
  • You have a passion for quality, are detail oriented, and know how to break software by finding bugs
  • You love automating things and finding places to improve inefficiencies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, diligent, and able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum guidance
  • Proven ability to work in a team
  • An ability to thrive in an environment that changes often
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in GIS, computer science, or a related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Familiar with web services and solid understanding of service-oriented architecture
  • Comfortable working with Github in a team environment
  • Industry experience in software development or software testing
